This course focuses on answering the question of how to create and sell forest carbon. Carbon markets and opportunities are discussed, including the current design elements of the emissions trading scheme.
The process of creating and selling forest carbon is stepped through in detail and an introduction to the tool for estimating carbon stocks in forest systems, the National Carbon Accounting Toolbox, is provided.
At the end of the course participants should have the necessary skills and tools to develop a simple business case for creating and selling forest carbon for their particular conditions.
